EPA Report shows restrictions on local water supplies due to lead
In general our drinking water in Carlow and Kilkenny is very safe.
That’s according to the latest report published by the Environmental Protection Agency.
While led levels are being monitored in parts of Kilkenny, Yvonne Dorris, Inspector with the EPA said supplies locally are of a good standard.
Restrictions are in place on a number of water supplies in Kilkenny though.
Yvonne Dorris, an inspector with the EPA says that lead may be an issue for some supplies.
And she says since Irish Water took over, its something that they have been actively monitoring.
