It’s feared funding to the tune of around a million euro for works in Tullow could now be lost.
The process of getting the plans for Tullow Bridge over the line appear to have fallen through, after more than seven months because of a missed deadline.
Money had been granted by Transport Infrastructure Ireland for the works – which include pedestrian walkways over the bridge and the redirection of traffic – but they may now lose that.
Speaking to KCLR News, Councillor Brian O’Donoghue says it all depends on how quickly they can begin the process again.
Elected members of Carlow County Council are meeting this morning at 11am to discuss the matter.
