Fianna Fáil has selected its Carlow candidate for the next General Election.
Senator Jennifer Murnane O’Connor will go forward again to contest for a Dáil seat in Carlow Kilkenny after narrowly missing out last time.
Councillor Fintan Phelan had been nominated but opted not to accept it.
He says he looks forward to supporting Senator Murnane O’Connor in her efforts to get elected.
