Final preparations underway for National Ploughing Championships with many set to travel from Carlow and Kilkenny

All roads lead again to Screggan, Co Offaly for this week’s three-day National Ploughing Championships.

The annual event is set to attract hundreds of thousands of fans, plough competitors and stallholders, many of them from Carlow and Kilkenny.

Organisers the NPA have advised those travelling to follow Garda and steward instructions (see traffic management plan here).

Ahead of the roll-out which gets underway tomorrow (Tuesday, 15th Sept), KCLR’s Agri Correspondent Matt O’Keeffe last night presented a  Plough Preview programme, with thanks to Philip Ireland Tyres.
