Fine Gael add Kilkenny Councillor to General Election ticket

Fine Gael have added a third candidate to run in Carlow Kilkenny for the next General Election.

The party’s executive council met in last night in Dublin and announced that Councillor Patrick O’ Neill will join Minister John Paul Phelan and Deputy Pat Deering in the next race for the Dáil.

The former Mayor of Kilkenny has been telling KCLR News he’s delighted to get the opportunity.

He was the only other name that went forward to convention last year along but only the 2 sitting Dáil Deputies were selected at the time.
