Fine Gael general election candidate for Carlow/Kilkenny has criticised Sinn Féin for accepting a large donation from a Kilkenny man in his will.
The late Michael Dollard named the Sinn Féin headquarters in Dublin as the beneficiary of nearly €44,000 he had left to the Party.
The Irish Independant reports that Sinn Fein used a legal loophole to accept the money in Northern Ireland to avoid laws in the Republic.
Irish electoral law forbids political parties from accepting donations from a single donor totalling more than €2,500.
Carlow/Kilkenny FG candidate Catherine Callaghan has accused Sinn Féin of been partitionist when it comes to party donations.
