Local TD Pat Deering and Sinn Fein agriculture spokesman Martin Ferris have traded verbal blows about the state of the sugar industry in Ireland.
Fine Gael TD Deering accused Sinn Fein of hypocrisy in their support for the return of the sugar beet industry.
He says that Sinn Fein are saying one thing in Ireland, but failing to show full support in Europe.
Speaking to KCLR, Deputy Martin Ferris responded by accusing Fine Gael of doing little to improve prospects within the industry.
