The fixtures for the first round of the Senior & Intermediate hurling championships in Kilkenny have been confirmed for next weekend.
In the St Canices Credit Union Senior hurling championship Dicksboro & Danesfort meet at 2pm on Saturday at the Kells Road venue, Mullinavat and Carrickshock clash at 3.30pm in Mooncoin – (that doubles up as a relegation semi final) while at 5pm Thomastown hosts the meeting of James Stephens & Ballyhale Shamrocks.
The senior hurling League & Shield finals will both go ahead in Nowlan park – O’ Loughlin Gaels & Fenians clash at 2pm in the Shield decider and Rower Inistioge & Clara meet at 4pm in the League final.
The other relegation semi final between Erins Own and St Martins is fixed for Nowlan park at 12pm on Sunday
In the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate championship Thomastown & Dunamaggin clash on Saturday at 2pm in Piltown in a game that doubles up as a relegation semi final while Lisdowney & Conahy Shamrocks clash at 4pm in Castlecomer.
The Intermediate hurling League & Shield finals are in Callan.
St Lachtains & Young Irelands meet in the shield final at 2pm in John Locke park with the League decider between Bennettsbridge & Tullaroan to follow at 4pm.
The other Intermediate games are fixed for Sunday at 12pm – St Patricks and Graigue Ballycallans round 1 encounter is in Palmerstown while Emeralds & Tullogher Rosbercon meet in Bennettsbridge as they bid to avoid a relegation final.
