A planning application to Kilkenny county council to convert a former GAA museum into apartments has been given the green light.
Permission was sought for change of use to the former Lory Meagher Centre in Tullaroan which was the homeplace of the legendary hurler.
It was being ran as a GAA museum and heritage centre until it closed a number of years back and was put on the market in recent years.
The new owner has been granted permission to convert the buildings – all of which are protected structures – into dwellings.
