Funeral today for Latvian woman who died in Kilkenny

Rita Apine is to be cremated today.

The Latvian woman died in hospital on May 14th after being found at the bottom of a stairs at her home in Freshford. A man has since been charged with her murder.

A memorial service was held last weekend in the city following on from a vigil that was held in Freshford.

Her ashes will be returned to her family in Latvia at a later date.
