Garda investigation underway following discovery of a body in Co Tipperary

A Garda investigation has been launched in Co Tipperary after a woman in her forties was found dead.

Her body was discovered at a residence in Newport on Tuesday evening.

The coroner has been informed and the results of a post-mortem examination will determine the course of the inquiry.
