Gardaí are looking for information after two Kilkenny premises were burgled.
A business office on Parliament Street was broken into between 3:30 PM on Sunday and 8:30 AM on Monday – cash was stolen, and a briefcase forced open.
The suspect is believed to have entered through a locked door.
While, between January 3rd and 6th, the County Council headquarters on John Street was also burgled with several electronic items were taken.
It’s not yet known if both are linked.
Sgt John Duffy has this appeal; “Anyone that may have been in there, they may have been using the carparks in the area around it or onto John Street area in particular during those periods of time, they may have seen somebody coming out of the council offices that looked like maybe they shouldn’t be there in the times that all the offices were closed at this time so there shouldn’t have been anybody really in or around those areas and again anyone who saw anything, even if it seems very minor, if they could contact the detective branch in Kilkenny”.
