Gardai appeal to locals to come forward with any information on stabbing in Bagenalstown

Gardai are appealing to residents of Fr Cummins park in Bagenalstown to come forward with any information on a stabbing in the estate last night.

A man was rushed to St Lukes Hospital after being stabbed in the chest at a house in the estate at around 20 past 10 – he was since released with non life-threatening injuries.

Two men fled the house on foot and Gardai would like to hear from anyone who might be able to give them a description of the culprits.
