Gardaí in Carlow are searching for a man who was involved in an armed robbery this morning.

The incident happened at ‘Dolmen Stores’ on the Hacketstown Road at about 8:15am.

The man was armed, he entered the shop and threatened members of staff and subsequently made off with a quantity of cash.

He’s described as being tall, and was wearing a white jacket at the time of the incident.

Anyone who was in the area between 7:30am and 8:30am, who seen anything suspicious are asked to contact Carlow Gardaí on 05991-31505.
