One man was arrested at a gathering outside a county Tipperary premises set to provide accommodation to those under international protection.
It’s understood about 70 people had turned out there yesterday as Gardaí assisted IPAS as they brought those seeking refuge from other countries to their new home.
The person arrested, who’s aged in his forties, has since been released without charge.
But a Garda presence at the building’s being maintained which a spokesperson says it in keeping with a community policing model and graduated policing response taking into account relevant legislation and public safety.
