The General Manager of St Luke’s Hospital says they don’t know of any particular reason why the Emergency Department has been so busy.
On Monday it was reported that the local A & E was the busiest in the country with 30 people on trolleys and in wards awaiting a bed.

And today it remains one of the busiest departments with 28 people waiting.
Speaking on KCLR Live this morning, Ann Slattery says the staff are performing as best they can.
