Half-burned phone bill helps convict woman of illegal dumping in Carlow

A half burned utility bill has proved costly in the local courts.
It was evidence enough to convict an illegal dumper at Kilkenny district court today.
The woman was ordered to pay a fine of €500 euro and costs totaling €480.
The case taken by Carlow County Council related to rubbish found dumped in a rural part of South Carlow last summer.
