Health minister Simon Harris will pay a visit to Carlow this morning.
He’s in the area to meet with locals about the Holy Angels School – as they continue their campaign for a new building.
They’ve been waiting over 10 years for their new building to go ahead, despite already having a site donated to them.
Children attending the Holy Angels are still using prefab buildings for classrooms – because their is no room at the current site to build new rooms.
The ministers visit comes after Senator Jennifer Murnane O’Connor put forward a commencement motion to the seanad for urgent action.
KCLR news understands that there has been a proposal put forward for urgent funding to be granted so the new build can begin.
