A HGV driver will face charges after Gardai in Kilkenny stopped them yesterday after their vehicle was found to be massively overweight.
The roads policing unit found that the lorry was 16 tonnes overweight after they inspected the vehicle.

Proceedings are now being initiated against the driver.
Gardai are reminding HGV drivers of their responsibilities as overweight vehicles pose a risk to road safety.
