Hoban summer school in Callan as part of Abhainn Rí festival

A lecture on US Presidential visits to Ireland will kick off  a mini-summer school in Callan today.

The Hoban McShain summer school is taking place as part of the Abhainn Rí Festival.

Dr David Kilroy will present a talk this evening honouring the connection that Callan and South Kilkenny has with the United States – including James Hoban who was the architect of the White House.

The school comes to an end this Saturday.
