How the State deals with cases of familicide is to be overhauled

An overhaul of how the State deals with cases of familicide will be carried out.
It follows requests from the family of Clodagh Hawe – who was murdered along with her three sons by her Kilkenny husband Alan in 2016.
The Government is to approve an in depth study, which will also review the supports available to families affected.
It’s expected to take a year to complete its work.
