It looks as if an iconic tower in Carlow could get knocked down.
The Limekiln on the old sugar factory site in the town has divided opinion with some looking to have it torn down while others want it kept as a heritage site.
A public consultation has taken place recently to ask the public their view on it.
Local Councillor Michael Doran says the site could be developed if the Limekiln was taken down while Councillor Arthur McDonald says Carlow needs tourist attractions and this would provide that if an interpretive centre was opened there.
