IFTA nominations for Kilkenny-born Moone Boy writer & Hollywood star from Ardattin

Saoirse Ronan is nominated for Best Actress at this years IFTA’s.

The Ardattin teenager gets the nod for her role in Byzantium which is gets a nomination for Best Film while Neil Jordan is also in the running for Best Director.

Kilkenny native Nick Vincent Murphy is nominated with Chris O’ Dowd for Best Script Drama for Moone Boy which is in the running for 6 awards

Love/Hate has been nominated for eight.

The ceremony takes place on April 5th.
