Gardaí attended an incident outside Kilkenny Castle last night.
It happened on the Parade at around 7.15pm.

As a precaution, the Arch Gate and nearby Constable Gate were temporarily closed while OPW staff helped members of the public enter and leave the grounds safely.
The castle and parklands remained open and the park closed as scheduled at 8.30pm.
