Information event this week on new homes for Ballyragget

22 new houses are on the way for a rural Kilkenny village.

Kilkenny County Council are holding an information event this week for the people of Ballyragget on the houses which are to be built at Station Avenue.

The plans are currently on display until the 20th of this month.

North Kilkenny councillor, Maurice Shortall, says these new houses will be welcome news for those on the housing list.

He says they come in addition to 9 new houses currently being allocated in Moneenroe and 33 others in Donaguile in Castlecomer.
