Inter-agency approach to resettling Syrian families in Kilkenny

Kilkenny County Council will hold it’s first inter-agency meeting this evening to discuss the cost of resettling 140 refugees.

The families that will be arriving over the next number of months will be mostly Syrian.

They’ll be arriving in two groups of about 70 with the first families due before the year is out.

Simon Walton, Director of Services in Kilkenny county council told KCLR news tonights meeting will discuss the methodology on how the resettlement programme will be developed.
