Ireland draw with Costa Rica in friendly

Ireland played out a 1-all draw against a ten-man Costa Rica in Philadelphia last night.

Martin O’Neill fielded a radically changed starting 11 from the team that started against Italy in Craven Cottage last week.

A terrific Kevin Doyle header gave Ireland the lead in the first half, before Costa Rica equalised after the hour mark.

Robbie Keane missed a penalty in the second half, while Giancarlo Gonzalez was sent off for fighting with Doyle.
