Jobs boost for Carlow

Topaz are almost ready to open a new multi-million euro facility at Junction 5- just off the M9 in Carlow

The development will include a new McDonalds chain which is expected to create about 70 jobs.

Local councillor in Tinryland, Jim Deane, says it will give the area a great boost – especially seeing as his own family-run shop closed its doors two months ago.

Planning for the new development was granted 2 years ago and its thought it could be open now within weeks.
