John McGuinness says the number of local families in emergency accommodation is unacceptable

Fianna Fail TD, John McGuinness, says the number of local families in emergency accommodation in Kilkenny is unacceptable.

There are currently 7 families being housed in Hotels and B&B’s in the city.

Homeless figures released recently show that there were almost 8,000 people in emergency accommodation last month – of those; nearly 3,000 were children.

Speaking to KCLR last night, Deputy McGuinness says this will have a negative impact on children especially.
