Kaymer the man to catch at Us Open

kaymerMartin Kaymer has set a new record score for the first 36 holes at the US Open golf. He hit a second consecutive 5-under par score of 65 at Pinehurst. Kaymer’s overall total of 10-under puts him a long way ahead of the rest of the chasing pack and has left the 2010 PGA championship winner in pole position to claim his second Major title.

Rory McIlroy shot a 68 today to hold a share of 10th place on 1-under par. But Graeme McDowell’s challenge has faded after he carded a 4-over par 74 today to slip back to 2-over par at the half-way point.

Shane Lowry and Darren Clarke both missed the cut
