Eight of the biggest tour operators in Britain have been visiting Carlow and Kilkenny over the past few days.
It’s hoped that at least 3 new big UK companies will be bringing extra tourists to Carlow-Kilkenny in the next couple of years.
They’ve seen some of the local tousist attractions like the Smithwick Experience in Kilkenny and Huntington Castle in Carlow and are reported to have been impressed with what they’ve seen.
Fáilte Ireland’s Jenny de Saulles says that after getting some great feedback she’s expecting at least two or three to start running tours to the region.
