Kilkenny Boundary Review committee meets today for first time

The first meeting of Kilkenny’s Boundary Review steering committee takes place this afternoon.

It’s made up of the six south Kilkenny councillors as well as the Cathaoirleach and Leas Cathaoirleach of the council and they meet for the first time at 2 o’clock.

Meanwhile, The Waterford/Kilkenny boundary review is also likely to be high on the agenda at the monthly meeting of the Piltown district this morning.

Speaking in Waterford earlier this week, the Planning Minister, on whose desk the recommendations are sitting, said it’s his job to try and find a solution to allow Waterford City to expand.

However, he’s said on previous occasions that he won’t be rushed into making a decision.
