A Kilkenny councillor says the council executive always present the worst possible scenario every year when it comes to budget cuts.
It’s after a document was circulated to local representatives advising of areas where money could be saved.
They include taking more than a 100,000 euro from the arts sector and decreasing funding to youth groups as well.
However, Fianna Fáil’s Pat Fitzpatrick, who’s party has vowed never to increase the Local Property Tax says the executive will have to come up with other ways to balance the budget.
