Kilkenny’s county boundary issue could soon be put to bed once and for all.
Local councillors met with Planning and Local Government Minister, Simon Coveney, last week who has informed them that he plans to put all county boundaries on a statutory basis.
It means that in the future no county can seek to take a part of another county.
Kilkenny Fine Gael Councillor David Fitzgerald says that this is being done in response to recent unsuccessful attempts to give an area of South Kilkenny to Waterford.
