Rent for Council tenants in Kilkenny looks set to remain the same for at least another 2 years.
It was decided at a special meeting on housing and rent in the county yesterday that the next rent review will take place in 2018.
As it stands, more than half of the council tenants have seen a rent-hike this year under a county-wide review.
But the executive made clear that this was only in cases where there had been an increase to their incomes over the past five years according to the terms of their tenancy agreement.
