A Kilkenny family is reportedly trapped in Lebanon.
Munir Zabad, wife Ghada, their daughter Ghadir and son Hassan who have been living locally for many years and it’s understood they travelled to Lebanon two weeks ago for the funeral of a family member.
Now it seems their flights from Beirut were cancelled last night.
It’s the second time they’ve been caught up there having previously encountered such an issue in 2006.
Concerns are being raised locally for them as tensions rise in Lebanon – close to 500 people were apparently killed in airstrikes there yesterday with schools and colleges ordered to close today.
