The annual Everest Ladder Challenge by the Kilkenny Fire Service is taking place there until 4 o’clock this afternoon to raise money for the autism unit of St Patrick’s De La Salle and the Castlecomer Day Care Centre.

The brave men and women involved will be climbing up and down 2 fifty foot ladders 280 times until they have climbed the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest!
