Kilkenny Gardaí investigating after thousands of euro stolen in home burglary

€8,000 in cash was stolen from a house in Castlecomer during a burglary on Saturday morning.

Gardaí say the culprit got into the house through an unlocked back door and stole a handbag from the kitchen table along with the substantial amount of money.

Garda Joe Reville told KCLR that this incident happened in a short space of time when there would have been people out and about.

They’re looking for anyone who saw anything suspicious between 9 and 9.30 on Saturday morning to get in touch.
