Kilkenny Gardai make arrest following High Street assault

An arrest has been made in connection with the assault of a teenage girl on Kilkenny’s High Street on Saturday.

Gardai say they are treating the incident very seriously and referrals have been made to the HSE and juvenile liaison office.

The parents of the alleged offender have now attended the Garda station and have fully co-operated with the investigation.

Its understood a number of teenagers were there and may have witnessed the altercation which happened in broad daylight on Saturday evening.
