Kells will host its first Garda Community Policing Clinic this morning at the village’s Scouts Den between 11am and 1pm today.
It provide residents with an opportunity to meet Gardaí on a confidential basis in relation to any issues they may have about law and order in their locality.
Local Councillor Joe Sheridan told KCLR News why the offering is so significant, saying; “”Basically they’re coming out to meet the local people, discuss local concerns that they may have, give advice on crime prevention, and this is all about working together for a safety community, we’d love people to call in and discuss issues they have with the gardai, they’re there to help and to make everybody safer and give whatever advice as possible, I’d love to see as many people turn up this is something that’s going to be ongoing, the last Thursday of every month”.
