Kilkenny Mayor launches fundraiser for local Lions Club

Kilkenny’s Mayor has officially kicked off a fundraiser from which proceeds will be gifted to the county’s Lions Club.

The volunteers, who run a campaign every year in aid of those in need locally, distributed the last of their 2024 excess to eight groupings at Bollard’s on Friday night. (Stay tuned for more on this across the week).

At that event the city’s First Citizen, Cllr John Coonan, told those gathered that the Mayoral Office is using its annual money-maker (details here and via the QR code below) to help boost the coffers of local lions to help with their 2025 festive fundraiser which was launched last month.
