Kilkenny mother tells her story of experiencing “extreme road-rage” on the ring road in 2015

A local mother has told of her terrifying experience on the ring-road in Kilkenny city in August 2015.

Hazel experienced what’s described as “extreme road-rage” when a man swerved into her lane while she was driving and blocked the road.

She says he soon became violent on the side of the road and starting shaking her car, and shouting at her window.

Hazel told RTE’s Liveline programme yesterday that she was terrified.

“I was screaming inside saying I don’t know what to do. We’re in danger and I don’t know what to do. I felt very vulnerable. He was just dancing on the side of the car.”
