Kilkenny has one of the slowest average broadband speeds in the country.
The figures come from a survey by website Switcher.ie of 27,000 consumers.
One-in-three people say they may have to move to cities to get better broadband.
The worst area for broadband is Longford with an average speed of 7.25 megabytes per second – compared to the fastest, which is Dublin at 44.9.
Carlow isn’t faring too bad as the average speed across the county is 20 megabytes per second.
But Kilkenny on the other hand is amongst the slowest at just 12.88.
