Kilkenny selects its Best Young Entrepreneurs

3 local businesses have been selected to go forward to the Leinster finals of Irelands Best Young Entrepreneur.

Kilkenny local enterprise office picked its winners at a special ceremony in the Medieval Mile Museum yesterday.

Best business idea went to Tara Hennessy for her product Spydar – a security camera to inhibit spider habitation.

Best Established business went to Eoin Treacy of Glanway Limited in Belview port and Best Start Up went to Rory Gannon of Cake Face.

The regional finals are in Wicklow in January and the local businesses will be competing with others from across Leinster including the Carlow winners picked in recent weeks, to advance to the national finals
