Kilfane Handball Club has been rejoicing since they received a 5,000 euro award from Texaco as part of their “Support for Sport” campaign.
The funds will be utilised to partially fund the development of a new gym on the club grounds. They were obtained through a competitive process within the county.
The club will host games this year in the World Handball Championships later in the year
Brigid Cassin-Begley, an executive member of the Club, expressed her happiness with the award to KCLR News.
