Kilkenny welcomes dentists for annual conference at Lyrath Hotel

Kilkenny is welcoming over 400 dentists, surgeons and nurses to the city today for their annual conference.

The Irish Dental Association is holding their annual get together at the Lyrath Estate Hotel and it runs until Saturday.

Topics up for debate over the next few days include mouth cancer, medical card cuts, and mouth guards for children in sports.

The IDA is also raising concern over the length of time patients are being forced to use antibiotics as a result of long delays in arranging oral surgery.
