Kilkenny woman appeals for witnesses as flowers and ornaments are stolen off her mother’s grave

A County Kilkenny woman is appealing for witnesses after heartless thieves stole flowers and ornaments from her mother’s grave.

The Windgap woman, who does not wish to be named, has been left devastated since the grave in Cloneen, Co Tipperary, was left bare.

She said that her son had helped her clean up her mother’s grave recently to prepare for the annual cemetery Mass.

The family had placed flowers and ornaments on the grave, however, the woman was horrified to discover everything had been stolen from the burial plot when she returned some time later.

The woman, who is a widow, is appealing to local people to come forward if they have any information on what happened.
