The young man who was the victim of an assault in Carlow Town in the early hours of Monday morning is understood to be recovering at home now.
Laois footballer Daniel O’Reilly had sustained serious head injuries in the attack at the Potato Market.

Two men charged in relation to the incident appeared in court on Thursday where they were released on bail with conditions imposed.
Mr O’Reilly had been in St Luke’s Hospital but KCLR News understands he was discharged yesterday.
