Large crowd gathers at public meeting over the future of local bus service

With less than two weeks to go until its axed completely a local Councillor has called for a deferral on the closure of the Clonmel Dublin bus route.

Matt Doran spoke at a public meeting in Clonmel last night as a crowd gathered to voice their opposition to Bus Eireanns plans to get rid of the X7 Expressway service that passes through Callan and Kilkenny City.

March 12th is the date set for the cancellation of the route but Councillor Doran says they need more time.

And he is urging locals to have their say in keeping this service on the road..
