Local businesses urged to ‘get online’

Businesses in Carlow and Kilkenny are being urged to make themselves a part of the online shopping market.

It comes as research by IEDR has found that almost a 3rd of all small and medium enterprises do not have a website and of those that do, 91 per cent can’t process sales online.

The company that manages the dot ie domain registry has this week launched its OPTIMISE Fund 2015 which can provide funding and support for those smaller businesses looking to increase their online presence.

Speaking to KCLR, CEO David Curtin, says Carlow and Kilkenny companies have been missing out.
